America's Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money:
Your Guide to Living Better, Spending Less, and Cashing in on Your Dreams

We've been told by readers that this is one of the easiest finance books to read, understand and apply. This book will make you feel like you're getting your own private coaching session. We've included lots of stories — ours and those of people we've helped. And we've even let our kids tell you what they think about their crazy parents' money habits.

It's not about formulas and calculations, it's more about figuring out what's really important to you and your family and making it happen. We aren't just preaching a gospel of thrift, we're giving you a behind the scenes look at how we've lived, raised five happy kids, paid off our first house in nine years, never had a car payment and had lots and lots of laughter.

5 Steps to Money Saving Purchases
by Annette and Steve Economides

1. Don't be in a hurry. The more time you take to search and learn, the more money you can save.

2. Research: Ask lots of questions, check several sources. Ask for referrals from experts and friends.

3. Consider buying used or borrowing an item instead of purchasing it.

4. Save the cash in advance. You're always in a better bargaining position and usually more careful.

5. Ask. Tell people you know what you're looking for. It may show up from an unlikely source at a GREAT price!
