Help Students Get Organized
Success in life is getting - and staying - organized. Help your student master the school year, and life itself, by instilling good habits early.

Off-to-College Checklist
Notes from Monica: It's a tiny bit outdated (it recommends getting a cordless phone for example, and sharing a camera with your roommate) I think it's also too heavy on clothing. I think most students can get by with a lot less clothing than they recommend. 21 pairs of underwear? I bet I don't even OWN 21 pairs of underwear!

Student Quick Tip

Set ground rules and boundaries with your roommate so you each know what to expect. And put your name in your stuff with a Sharpie! Don't bring anything you absolutely can't live without. If it will break your heart if it's stolen, leave it home. I hate to say it, but theft happens everywhere.

Student Quick Tip

Set aside a specific day each week for life maintenance, to be sure those things get done. Laundry and grocery shopping on Sunday evenings, for example. These are things that NEED to get done and they require you leaving your room, so setting time aside is important.
